Rough Draft

Country Study Part IV: Colombia’s Current Reality

The population of Colombia is a lot of people. There are a lot of people in Colombia. How do they fit in such a small area? That means the population density is really high. It must be. The CIA won’t tell me. It’s probably a big secret. That has to do with National Security and drug rings.

There’s a lot of drugs in Colombia. Do you know why? Because Colombians don’t like coffee anymore. They’re sick of supplying the world will all the damn coffee especially Starbucks so now they’re growing cocaine so they can put the cocaine in the coffee and kill everyone in the world except for the Colombians because they already have an immunity to cocaine.

This is because they have been on cocaine for the past 1143 years.

The end.

Love, Sara

P.S. you’re my favorite teacher Jack please give me an A.

Otherwise I might cry.

Because I would be sad.

I like As.

This is the best paper I’ve written ever. Right?

P.S. cocaine

i'm gonna straight-up murder your ass.

1. I just picked up the appropriate forms to declare my major and minor today.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Decisions scare me.

2. Still sick, still miserable, though I just went ahead and skipped philosophy today because a) it's pointless; b) I haven't missed a class yet, so he can't get on me about that; and c) that hour and twenty minutes was much better spent sleeping/studying for my history test/watching Project Runway. Definitely no regrets.

3. I'm actually going to see a movie tonight. AT A MOVIE THEATER! The last one I saw was Hairspray. How lame is that? Not that Hairspray is lame, but seriously, it came out forever ago. Bridget and I are walking to the Grandview and seeing American Gangster. It better be good. At the very least, I get me some popcorn.

4. I think I've been moved down from Soprano 1 to Soprano 2 for the Christmas concert, or at least for one song. D: DEMOTED! Okay, so it's not actually that big of a deal, but she's going to regret it because I am completely incapable of singing harmony. Maybe it'll be a learning experience.

5. Can't say that I kicked ass or anything, but I finished my history test about a half hour ago and I'm pretty sure that I didn't fail! :D Or at least, I got better than I did on my last test, which was a C+. A high C+, but a C+. It was great, really, I needed to answer 4 out of the 8 questions and I was confident in... pretty much the 4 out of the 8 that I ended up answering. Oh, essay tests, I hate and/or love you.

6. I am so behind on NaNo. So, so behind. I'm counting on YOU, Thanksgiving break!

Okay, yesterday was awesome. Let's go down the line.

1. Lunch with Dr. Broeker! That was fun. We went to Punch Pizza and had to share every detail about our life ever. Dr. Broeker was pretty amused that I came from a farm. Har.

2. Fifteen question essay test for Justice and Peace Studies. FIFTEEN QUESTIONS. Granted, most of them were only short answer, but I filled up an entire Blue Book (that's a lot) plus one more page in a next and my arm was dying. At the very least, it was a relatively easy test, so that's good.

3. CJ and I went to Target and he got off the wrong exit so we literally drove around lost for like, forty minutes. I got us back to Snelling, finally. Blegh.

4. OKAY, so the best part. Elizabeth and I went to Caribou Coffee because she had to move her car out of the ramp anyway, so we went there and stopped at the grocery store so she could pick up some supper and then we were driving back and we got to St. Thomas and had to start looking for a parking spot on the street, which is nearly impossible.

So we're driving down the road and Elizabeth suddenly yells, "SARA LOOK AT THAT CAR IS THAT IT?" and I look and it IS a car that looks remarkably like the Winchester's '67 Chevy Impala. AHHH. So we we turn around so we can look at it again, and there's actually a spot right behind it, so we park. As we're parking, it becomes very clear that it is, at least, a Chevy, and then we hopped out and like the creepy people we are, started to scour the car for any indication that it might be an Impala. And Elizabeth found it, we jumped around happy for a while, and then we called Sarah and Bridget to get them to come out.

While we were waiting, Elizabeth called her boyfriend Mike to tell him about it and it ended up that the owner of the car was actually a friend of Mike's, and it was a '69 Impala. So close, but no cigar. BUT IT DIDN'T REALLY MATTER. Sarah, Bridget, and Bridget's German friend Fedelia came out and we took a picture.

OH MY GOD SEE, IMPALA. )

And that kind of made our nights.

5. We also went to the Ireland/JPII Halloween dance. It was great fun. I put cat ears on and that was my costume. As we were leaving, some drunk guys we passed offered this profound statement: "That girl is a cat! Meoooww."

I love drunk people.

And now it's midterm break, and I have no classes today, and no real homework this weekend, and the only thing I'm actually going to be doing is like, laundry and some mild cleaning. YES.

I'm done with my paper from hell! Though in reality, it was kind of a fun paper to write, considering. I guess that's probably a good thing, since it was for Political Science and that's kind of what I'm majoring in, y'know? Next week I have an outline and a test to do, but I think I can handle it.

I ordered a dress from Alloy.com and I just got it today. It's polka dotted and awesome like that. It's great because I needed a new dress for homecoming this weekend and all. Sweeeet.

Also, Laura from down the hall is now addicted to Supernatural. IT'S SPREADING.

In French today, Bibbee was going over a powerpoint and I looked at the time and the date and it was like, Wednesday and I gave a little (mental) squeal and then I looked at the time and it was 10:04 exactly and I freaked out (mentally) and did a little dance (mentally). It was fangirly of me, but... OH MY GOD, LOST IN NINE AND A HALF HOURS.

Then he let us out twenty minutes early and it was fantastic.

Also, went to see Pirates last night. It was fantastic. I'm guessing it was a pirated version, considering the DVD doesn't come out for another two months, but *I'm* not complaining. Nothing is more entertaining than a three-way sword fight on a gigantic spinning wheel.

Seriously.

Anyhoo, expect some freaking out tonight around 8-10 central. I'm sure I'll be doing it. I'D BETTER be freaking out at one point or another or it wasn't a true Lost episode. Or season premiere, for that matter. ... I'M SO EXCITED.
